Highly motivated and excellent post-doctoral researchers of any gender, age, ethnic group, national or social origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, language, disability, political opinion, and social or economic condition from all over the world can apply as long as they fulfill the eligibility criteria. To be eligible:
1) Applicants must be in possession of a doctoral degree or must have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree at the deadline of the call*.
2) Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Türkiye for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.
Time spent in Türkiye for obtaining a refugee status under the Geneva Convention, compulsory national service and/or short stays, such as holidays, will not count towards the 12-month limit of the mobility rule. The applicant may be asked to submit a proof document during the evaluation process.
[*] A medical doctor degree will be accepted only when it corresponds to a doctoral degree or if the researcher can demonstrate his/her appointment in a position that requires doctoral equivalency (e.g. professorship appointment). Medical doctor degrees corresponding to basic medical training as defined in Annex V of Directive 2005/36/EC will not be considered a doctoral degree.
