How?

ENRICH-TOGETHER will offer full-time employment contracts to 20 highly-motivated and excellent post-doctoral researchers, by means of two open calls over a period of two years. During these calls, applicants have to independently develop a project proposal, identify a supervisor and if applicable specify a secondment institution. For details: Prepare and Submit your Application.

Supervision:

* Supervision is one of the crucial elements of successful research. Guiding, supporting, directing, advising and mentoring are key factors for a researcher to pursue her/his career path. In this context, all MSCA-funded projects are encouraged to follow the recommendations outlined in the MSCA Guidelines on Supervision.

* Each applicant researcher will implement an Individual Research Project under supervision by internationally recognized researchers. This will enable the applicant researchers to work with and learn from their supervisors and their team.

* Each applicant will have one supervisor from METU of her/his own choice. The supervisor must be selected from the list on the ENRICH-TOGETHER website.

* The applicant researchers must not communicate with the supervisor at all to preclude potential pre-selection.

Secondment:

* Applicant researchers are strongly encouraged to incorporate secondments of 1-6 months into their research proposals. Secondments are optional but considered as an asset to create additional benefits for the fellow, in terms of knowledge transfer and enhancement of research skills and professional expertise.

* Secondments are limited to only one institution.

* Secondment durations can be a total of 1-6 months. Secondment visits can be executed with one (1) or more travel(s) at different times during the fellowship.

* Applicant researchers can select secondment destinations from the predefined list of associated partners on the ENRICH-TOGETHER website. The strong network of secondments consists of 17 academic and 12 non-academic partners from 12 countries that perform complementary work and collectively aim to arrive at best practices in high-quality research and training.

* Applicant researchers can select secondment destinations NOT present in the list of associated partners on the ENRICH-TOGETHER website. Applicants are required to provide a Letter of Commitment in cases when they prefer a secondment institution not enlisted in the associated partners of the project.

* Eligibility criteria for new secondment organisations:

  • Secondment organisations can be established anywhere in the world.
  • Secondment organisations can be from any sector in accordance with the candidates’ research and career prospects.
  • Secondments should add value to researchers’ career plan.
  • Secondment organisations should be active in research.
  • Proposed supervisors must be excellent researchers (shown by publication record, funding obtained, patents applied for etc).

If needed, researchers and supervisors may decide to include a secondment if none or add a secondment during the career development process.
